Congratulations to this year’s Summer Fellowship Winners. Lightspeed is proud to welcome the following teams to this year’s class: CircusPop, Classroom.tv, Eng Cloud, Lark Technology, Pushpins, Team Mokini, Tezzit, Unmelt and Weng Motors.

Are you an aspiring entrepreneur looking for the resources, guidance, and connections to get your venture off the ground? Lightspeed Venture Partners VIII, L.P. is offering summer fellowships to support entrepreneurship and innovation among highly motivated engineering and CS students.

Each winning team will receive $5,000 per team and $10,000 per team member, mentoring by one of Lightspeed’s investment professionals, as well as office space in Menlo Park, CA throughout the summer of 2010.

Think of it like a scholarship. We provide resources, mentors, and guidance; you pursue your venture free and unfettered. Fellows are under no obligation to Lightspeed, and Lightspeed receives no equity as part of the program.

There will be two independent rounds of applications. Applications are due January 31, 2010 for the first round, April 15, 2010 for the second round. Lightspeed expects 50% of the winners to be selected in each round.
